Tucked away in Hyde Street is one of Adelaide’s true gems when it comes to food, especially Korean food. The food served at Little Korea is so emotionally fulfilling, it leaves you spellbound and that is putting things mildly!

I have this girl gang at work, a couple of ladies who eat, live and dream food! The mere thought brings a smile to my face as I sit at home, writing about our visits to Little Korea. My first time here was also my first time trying Korean food and man, has this been a truly educational experience! The spicy food makes you yearn for home and mom’s cooking even when the cuisine is wildly different. I guess good food has that effect on people, in a good way.

I tried the spicy Korean fried chicken on my first visit. Served in a bento box with rice, soup, pickle and bean sprouts, the chicken falls off the bone and you simply cannot stop at one. Everything else takes a backseat and you just focus on the chicken. Hell, you even forget to talk 🙂

Next time around, I tried the Beef Bulgogi, which is basically marinated beef stir fried with soy sauce and veggies. Again, you cannot help but think give me the meat alone guys 🙂 Well, by now you would have got the gist, Little Korea serves soul food!

Service at Little Korea is very attentive and courteous. In fact, the second time I was here was for a lunch party and the folks here did a really good job. The orders did not get mixed up even though we were a large group and the quality of the food did not suffer either! They also have a small yet cute photo booth set up in one corner for the selfie experts. As for me, good food is enough and that is what you get here. And I already know what I am going to try next, the teriyaki chicken bibimbab!
