It’s tradition that New Year’s Eve finds us on the road. This year was no different and as usual our New Year’s eve family dinner got postponed for a day. I had already picked the restaurant, so all that was required on the day was just to go ahead and book a table for 4. Now, even though I had heard so much about Cinnamon Club from my friends I had
refrained from adding it to my never ending list because of the price tag. And then the hubster had his Christmas lunch here and he could not stop raving about the food here 🙂 And voila, here we were on New Year’s Day!

Located on prime real estate on The Parade, Cinnamon Club has ample dining space, both indoors and out front. The massive murals and snazzzy lounge with bright colours transports you back home. The girls’ first thought was “looks like we are back home!”. Freddy took the lead in ordering this time as he had already tasted some of the amazing dishes available here. We started off with Amritsari Fish and then went on to have a roti platter with dal, chicken tikka masala and the children’s usual, butter chicken. The starter and the main course were served on a raised platter at the center of the table.

Served with pudhina chutney, the Amritsari Fish was mindblowing to say the least. My girls, who are hesitant to try fish when outside tried some after some much needed prodding from the husband. And they loved the fish so much that they finished the whole plate! Now that’s a first! And a good start to a dinner for any mother!

The main course at Cinnamon Club did live up to our expectations and how. We ended up ordering so many breads that we actually lost count. I am sure those who were sitting next to us would have positively thought I was starving the girls at home.

Overall, you can really tell from the food served here that these guys are passionate about food. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The menu at Cinnamon Club is extensive with some interesting dishes thrown in (I know what I want to try next!). Considering the portion size, the pricing is a bit on the heavier side. Our dinner did come to $120, yet if you ask me the beautifully flavoured food was indeed worthy of the price tag!
